The phrase “It’s Over” can convey countless emotions. The speaker can say it with reluctant resignation, fed-up frustration, or even Vince Carter-level confidence. And if you’re anything like Eddy Puyol, you’ve probably experienced all three at some point.
With “It’s Over (Game Over)” the artist digs deeper into the latter feeling and delivers a perfect “End of Win” sing-a-long song for fans of any athletic contest.
“Although I put this song out a few years ago I’ve noticed that it can easily fit into my catalog of strong sports anthems,” Puyol said. “I can see it being played by teams at the end of a decisive victory over their opponent [a’ la Gary DeCarlo & Steam’s “Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye”] and I thought it would be fun to release a new version specifically for that purpose.”
Puyol has even created a fun visual for the minute-long clip with his performance intercut with some of sports greatest highlights – perfect for playing on a video scoreboard after a “W.”

Given the online and live performance success of his first full-Spanish language song, “Sigue Pa’ Lante,” Eddy Puyol thought it was only right to offer a second serving of this spicy dish of a song with a new audio mix by DJ Reflex and an updated visual shot by Gabe Mejia and edited by Will Thomas.
The original has over a million views on YouTube alone and was featured as part of a Monday Night Football broadcast during Hispanic Heritage Month. Now, the West Palm Beach duo of Puyol and Reflex connect for an “Otra Vez” version with even more energy and fresh drum loops to keep listeners’ hips swinging like they were when the artists performed the song with Nick Hall and Pulse Evangelism at the most recent South Florida Fair.
“This is a song that’s really connected well with audiences and means so much to me as a nod to my family’s Hispanic roots,” Puyol said.
That idea is furthered with the audio single’s cover art including a photo of his great grandparents’ house in Cuba.

“Dripped out and dreamy” is probably the best way to describe Eddy Puyol’s most recent music video. In fact, it’s the perfect, purple-hazed companion for a visual version of the chopped and screwed take on his “Like a Cadillac” track.
The original, classic car-based composition first appeared on his Nothing Changed But My Stage Name album and was later remixed with H-town’s signature sound by DJ Ovadose. Now, the song’s music video receives similar treatment from frequent Eddy Puyol collaborator Will Thomas (who also shot and edited the song’s initial visual take).
This slowed down version offers viewers a trippy, but spiritually calming, element to an already smoothed out single. The result gives a Houston gloss to a tune and video you’d imagine emerging from an Isley Brothers/UGK collaboration with the vibe of Ice Cube’s “It Was a Good Day.”
Puyol is also no stranger to the underground genre having released a Chopped & Screwed album in 2008 with DJ Primo under his previous Rawsrvnt moniker. And although he’s a Florida-boy through and through, his connection to Houston is strong, having multiple collabs with several artists from the city – most notably with Lil Raskull.
“When this song popped off I figured a matching chopped and screwed version of the video would take it to another level and my man Will didn’t disappoint,” Puyol said. “It’s definitely something I can see folks adding to their low-fi or chill music YouTube playlists.”
The track samples the artist’s previous work (“Flossin’ Him”) and its smooth groove, memorable melody, steady beat are tailor-made for a late night study session or sunny Sabbath.

One of the more unique entries in Eddy Puyol’s music catalog is a worship song called “El Shaddai” that leverages the Miami Bass sound originating from the artist’s home state. Although it was originally recorded and released years ago, a recent revamp continues to breathe new life into its timeless message and connect with fans in this video-dominant era.
To further cement the song’s legacy and allow it to reach new audiences, Puyol once again linked up with director Will Thomas (a frequent collaborator) for a vibrant visual that splashes his performance with eye-catching colors and cuts to hype dancers expressing their praise through impressive body movements.
The song (whose title means “God Almighty” in Hebrew) showcases Puyol’s blend of pop and regional sensibilities to create a bouncy anthem, with added ripples to really push the deep-bass elements fully appreciated by residents of the 3-0-5 and beyond.
“I hope this video has people worshipping God in a real Florida way,” Puyol said.
